In June of 2021, my career took an unexpected turn. Having spent 15 fulfilling years as a Speech Language Pathologist in schools, I was ready for a change. It was then that my mother, Carla, the founder of HSH, reached out to me for help. She needed assistance, and without hesitation, I joined the HSH team. Little did I know, this decision would shape the course of my future in ways I never imagined.

Initially, I viewed my role at HSH as temporary, a way to support my mother until she retired and sold the company. However, as I immersed myself in the day-to-day operations of this extraordinary agency, something shifted within me. I was captivated by our mission of providing top-notch, compassionate in-home care to families in need.

One particular moment stands out vividly in my memory: the day I had the privilege of escorting a client from a care facility back to their own home. Witnessing the sheer joy and gratitude on their face as we arrived at their doorstep filled me with an indescribable sense of purpose. In that moment, I realized that I found my calling.

Inspired by the transformative impact of our work, I approached my husband with a bold idea: to purchase HSH and continue its mission of enriching lives through personalized in-home care. To my delight, he shared my vision wholeheartedly, and together, we embarked on this incredible journey as stewards of HSH.

Looking to the future, I envision HSH continuing to touch countless lives and make a meaningful difference in our community. Our goal is to provide individuals with the opportunity to thrive in the comfort of their own homes, surrounded by the love and support of our dedicated caregivers.

What excites me most about the future is the prospect of witnessing our clients living their best lives – attending Bingo nights, enjoying outings to the theater, or simply savoring the joy of cooking a meal at home. These simple pleasures, made possible by the compassionate care provided by our team, are what make our work truly rewarding.
